New release on Black Hole Recordings marks a defining moment as the Japanese DJ accelerates toward an ambitious 2026 vision.
Japanese DJ and producer YAMATOMAYA has released her latest single, “Endless,” out now via Black Hole Recordings, the influential label founded by Arny Bink.
Recognized for her emotionally charged melodic progressive house sound, YAMATOMAYA fuses orchestral elements such as violins and cellos with contemporary electronic production. The result is a cinematic style that has steadily captured attention across the global dance music landscape. This release marks a defining step in her career, signaling the beginning of a broader international push as she builds toward an even larger global presence in 2026.
“After ten years of shaping my sound and performing around the world, it feels like everything is finally aligning,” she says. “This track reflects the direction I’ve been working toward for a long time.”
YAMATOMAYA first broke through with her debut single ALIVE, which climbed to #1 on the iTunes Dance Chart and introduced her as a rising force in progressive house.
She built her early following through performances across Japan’s Kansai club scene before stepping onto the international stage. In 2019, she became the first Japanese female artist to perform at the Amsterdam Dance Event After Party, a milestone that helped cement her presence in Europe. That same year, she delivered 16 international shows and appeared at six major festivals, marking her transition into a globally touring artist.
Her career has since carried her onto some of the world’s most recognized electronic music stages, including: Ultra Europe, Creamfields Thailand, EDC China, Parookaville Festivaland S2O Festival. In 2023, she stood out as the only Asian female DJ on the lineup at Ultra Europe and completed a six-country European tour spanning Croatia, Italy, Sweden, Spain, the Netherlands, and Albania.

Her momentum was further reflected in her ranking as #1 in Japan and #8 in Asia on the DJane Mag Asia Top 40 list. Beyond the stage, YAMATOMAYA is building her own platform. In 2025, she launched AMO Recordings, a label dedicated to supporting emerging artists and pushing forward-thinking electronic music.
Its debut showcases in Tokyo and Osaka drew industry attention and featured international collaborators, positioning AMO Recordings as a rising presence within Japan’s electronic scene. With Endless now released through Black Hole Recordings and additional unreleased material under consideration by major labels, YAMATOMAYA is entering a new phase defined by scale and ambition.
Together with her team, she is preparing a global campaign that includes international festival appearances, club performances across Asia and Europe, brand partnerships, and a media series documenting her touring journey. The project aims to spotlight not only her music, but also the growing influence of Asian artists within the global electronic music ecosystem.
“This year is about taking everything further,” she says. “I want this music to reach as many people as possible.”
At its core, Endless captures a feeling many recognize but rarely hold onto for long, a moment so immersive it seems to stretch beyond time.
“It’s about being inside something you don’t want to end,” YAMATOMAYA explains. “A connection, a phase, a feeling that keeps unfolding.”
The track leans into emotional depth without melancholy, hovering instead in a suspended, almost weightless state. Built on a deep, driving bassline and guided by a gradually expanding, trance-inspired drop, it evolves without rushing toward resolution. There’s a quiet tension beneath its surface, energy that gathers patiently before finally breaking open. When the drop arrives, it acts as a release valve, letting everything hidden rise to the surface in a single, cathartic moment.
