According to recent findings published by security researchers at SentinelOne, the specific software targeted by the fast16 malware points directly toward two primary countries: Iran and China.
The connection to Iran centers around the malware hunting for a program called LS-DYNA. This is an advanced physics and engineering simulation suite. Public intelligence reporting has tied the use of this specific software to Iran’s AMAD program, which was their historical initiative for developing nuclear weapons and conducting warhead tests. By corrupting these simulations, the attackers likely aimed to silently disrupt their nuclear progress.
The connection to China is linked to the malware targeting a program called PKPM. This is a very specific computer aided design suite that is widely used across China for civil engineering, building design, and construction projects. Sabotaging structural calculations in this software could lead to systemic flaws in massive infrastructure projects.
Researchers also noted that the fast16 kernel driver was later found in the 2017 Shadow Brokers leak, which contained tools used by the United States National Security Agency. This strongly implies the US was behind the malware, using it as a highly advanced cyberweapon to stealthily sabotage the infrastructure and defense projects of rival nations well before Stuxnet made global headlines.

It was for screwing up nuclear weapon physics simulations.

I hate that people keep bringing Three Body Problem into this. The real answer is not that exciting. It’s our government and potentially the governments of other countries.
Instead of blaming aliens or playing make believe sci-fi we should be writing our congressmen, urging them to open an investigation.

There is nothing there which implicates anything connected to aliens. It simply indicates malware via cyber warfare. You’re trying really hard to push this 3 Body Problem scenario via limited and questionable claims and looking for connections that are circumstantial at best. It isn’t any more compelling than the rest of the theories shopped around.

Yes, quantum theory is real

This is a Stuxnet-like worm created by regular (non-NHI) people. How would this tie into the otherworldly aspects of Three Body Problem?

I’ve been saying we been in Cold War 2 and it’s a cyber warfare.

So…where is any of the evidence that SentinlOne is a legit source and not AI crap? Because that’s all I’ve seen from them so far.
