While world governments and the mainstream media have been brushing off or ridiculing the reality of our military being watched carefully by non-human intelligence, the CIA and some newswires have been well aware of this ongoing cat-and-mouse game.

After all, it’s been going on for decades — or perhaps even centuries.

In this Special Report, I include a compelling, declassified CIA report that documents such an event in detail. I am also including a handful of newswire and newspaper clips that report such incidents during World War II and the 1950s. In many cases, UFOs were identified as secret weapons of the Nazis, not unlike today, when in many cases, not unlike today where some authorities attribute UFOs to enemy secret weapons.

Intriguing Similarities Between This Midcentury Case and the Nimitz

In 1950, two intelligence officers were dispatched to a ship to interview its officers about a frightening episode with a 30-foot cylindrical object shadowing its vessel. The Tic-Tac-type UFO that shadowed this ship is eerily similar to those reported shadowing the USS Nimitz in 2004 and shadowing our Navy vessels today.

A CIA document dated Aug. 18, 1950, shows that the Company had enough interest in this particular incident to send two investigators to somewhere in the North Atlantic. The exact location and the names of the ship’s officers are redacted, but their testimony rings true, sounds familiar — and implies the UFO’s moves and actions ranged from worrisome to terrifying.

I am a retired newspaper reporter who now spends his time researching UFOs and other aspects of the phenomenon, using the same skills I developed as a journalist.

I offer you the information; it’s up to you to decide what, if anything, it proves or disproves.

This case caught my eye because it is similar to many of the recently reported sightings by U. S. military.

**The documents in my article include sensitive information declassified by the CIA as a result of FOIA requests. I hope this answers any questions I see posted about the authenticity of my research sources.**

**I will try to answer any questions I can. I must point out that I am not infallible; I make mistakes, and when I do, I do my best to correct them.**

    >interview its officers about a frightening episode

I see nothing “frightening” about this and neither account seems to suggest anything of the sort. Is this your editorializing or is there another account that suggests this?

What I find most interesting is how different the two accounts are. They are both describing the same object, but the encounter is completely different. The Master watches it for a minute and a half, estimating the speed to be around 25 mph, while the Mate sees it for 15 seconds and estimates it to be 500 mph.

Are the two accounts from the same encounter? They are very different. The Master suggests it is going about 25 mph and reports many details of the size and shape. The Chief Mate talks about it going 500 mph and ascending – although that does not make sense because he also describes it disappearing on the horizon.

If we take the Master’s report for the moment, everything he describes is consistent with an aluminized balloon, he even describes it as looking like aluminum. The Mate’s report cannot be explained this way, of course, but seems more fantastical.

I tried to find when the first aluminized balloons were made, but that simply demonstrated how useless Google is these days.
