Trump’s has understood since his first campaign in 2016 that UFO believers are one of the easiest groups to politically mobilize. The desire for disclosure is real, the frustration is decades deep, and that makes it exploitable because folks are desperate for validation.
Be curious, not useful.
Always ask “Why now?”. Michael Wolff has written several books on Trump and spent a year embedded in his first administration. Here’s more of his thoughts on what he’s playing the UFO card right now.
“And yes, this is why we’re all talking about UFOs again. It’s the sort of plotline a well-worn franchise throws out there in a moment of desperation—a “jump the shark” moment. But if it works…. The president is openly acknowledging to his team that he can run on the issue, because “people really believe this shit.” It’s a base motivation to, well, motivate his base. Trump will do whatever he needs to get folks back in their seats.” Post on Substack

It is good to examine the real motives behind” Greeks bearing gifts, ” particularly when said Greeks have in the past proven very untruthful.
This UFO movement indeed has been in the past and present used for nefarious reasons. It should be more alert to that exploitation.
Hasnt Chuck Schumer came out in support of this? It seems to have the support of both parties.
Obama saying a few years ago that there are things that are in our skies that we dont know what or where they come from should’ve been huge news.
I get Trump isn’t popular, but this is bigger than him. We have Fraver, Elizondo, Grusch, and many credible people that have come forward and saying what they saw.
Source for this quote? I cannot find any reference to it. 🤷♂️

2016 and 2026 are a million timeliness away.
He knows
I wonder what he really thinks about the govt and its, hidden in the private sector, shadow rulers, robbing HUMANITY of 80+ years of advancing tech and evolution. While paying for it all with the people’s taxes. The sum is mind blowing.
I’m sorry but the premise that you could go into a political consultants meeting on either party and say, “you know who we should target explicitly? People who believe in UFOs!” and not be laughed out is preposterous.
No one is using disclosure to drum up votes. It’s not a top ten issue, not a top twenty issue.
Why he’s doing it doesn’t really matter to me as much as the fact that he *is* doing it.
It would be a different situation if he were creating the material being released rather than just getting it released.
Of course he could, alien conspiracy theorists are as much sheep as they think religious people are. So called declassified files of a already public 60 year old picture of a fake alien monkey with panties and it’s called disclosure by this community. Camera lens flares and other easily explained shit and it’s eaten up as the gospel
Yea this stuff doesn’t work on me, the whole twist the situation to hate on someone you want folks to hate on. Aka trying to make this a win for your “team” and a loss for “theirs”, its irritating because it’s just political bullshit.
I don’t care why any president would do it, so as long as they do something towards it.
The folks who are on point are happy about this and are gaining a sliver more “power” as well as making more folks curious.
So who gives a shit, let’s be patient and see what else they release.
Or fill your life with more unnecessary rage and anger, your call.
People with fringe, deeply held, beliefs are more likely to defend their beliefs against any new evidences than people who don’t commit.
That’s why religions exist and prosper despite overwhelming evidences against them and no evidences for them, that’s why conspiracy theories flourish.
People who feel disenfranchised and base their identity around unsubstantiated beliefs will do everything in their power to avoid changing their opinion because changing opinion is painful and requires the acceptance you were wrong all along and you wasted a large part of their life for something that is false.
Self deception is the strongest deception.
**The biggest beware is thinking anything happening this high up in government is about any singular thing. Too many stakeholders,** not enough time, to put forth effort that only progresses one objective.
Trump is obviously using the Iran war as a distraction
There are obviously other major players driving the war for completely different purposes
One of the reasons Trump is doing this as opposed to Biden is Trump wants the flood the zone where as Biden did not want to muddy the water. However there are other stakeholders who don’t give a shit about helping Trump flood, but they do care about how Trump can help them with their agenda thru this.
Such is life when dealing with so much power.
