
On April 1, 2026, the SLS (Space Launch System) rocket lifted off, sending four astronauts on a test flight around the Moon and back aboard their Orion spacecraft. These cameras, developed by engineers at NASA Marshall, are called the Flight Imaging Launch Monitoring Real-time System (FILMRS). They are able to survive some of the harshest environments during launch.

Golly gee I could never… I’m too scared to go on the taller rides at the amusement park. They have some guts!
So awesome to see and amazing that people out there train their whole life for this moment! Just wild.
I wish it was an uninterrupted view of the ground. Not much to see upwards.
Too bad they withheld all of these camera shots and instead showed us a simulated animation during the actual broadcast
