Anyone know if that’s close enough to the shore for people to see anything?

  2. Why such a sharp curve to the opposite direction? Probably to do with curvature and when they hit the atmosphere but my brain just can’t picture it

  3. On the map, it sure looks like they’re cutting it close. I hope they don’t overshoot and come down in the San Diego Zoo or something. I’m sure they have it all figured out, but after a trip of almost 700,000 miles, it seems crazy they’re coming in so close to the coastline.

  4. Just to think all the calculations had to be right up to this point to splash down and not crash into Australia or USA.

It’s crazy and amazing that humans can blast a giant bomb off with humans sitting on top of it, fly them to the _fucking Moon,_ take a bunch of photos, and then splash down in an exact part of the globe at a specific time without killing anyone. Hell yeah science.

  6. They’ll be going right over top of the ex tropical cyclone Vainau, what an awesome view that would be

  7. I’ll be in Olympic national park right on the water. Any way I could see this from a mountain top?
