So guys can someone explain why Corbell leaked the snapshot in 2024 with visible flir data on the pic where now the video hides data with black boxes?
If this is considered military data etc, why wasnt Corbell in big trouble then or even in jail?
Why would they have to hide it now and not sensor it then? Why did they let it go?
Its seems weird to me.

Are you trying to get Corbell arrested, I know a lot of people don’t like him but cmon man
Why would you be mad at Corbell? He’s one of our biggest advocates for disclosure.
They rushed the release of this stuff. Just told staffers to put boxes over any kind of txt. Just another example of over-classification.
Hasn’t this pic been proven to be a flare
A journalist can publish an unredacted military FLIR image with data (timestamps, coordinates, etc.) if they obtained it lawfully and it is not, in their hands, clearly classified or illegal to disclose, whereas the government can still decide to redact those same data when it later releases the video because it is bound by its own classification and disclosure rules in a way the journalist is not
Sometimes there are government rules for things that they have to redact based on statute but that wouldn’t necessarily end the world in certain circumstances if they were shown. Maybe it’s like that? Like “we have to but if you don’t w/e”
because it’s not like he’s in the military or actively employed by the government and it not like it revealed anything to the point where it led to a national security issue.
LENS FLARE– ALREADY BEEN PROVEN WRONG.
They won’t arrest him. The DOD has been releasing these types of videos for some time, including before the 2017 NYT TIC TAC videos.
The 2017 TIC TAC videos were out long before the NYT 2017 article.
>**Initial Unauthorized Release:** The video had been circulating in the public domain for years prior, with reports indicating it was leaked or posted online as early as 2007, and again in 2017 before the NYT article.

How can anyone with any camera or sensor experience in the military not immediately know exactly what this is? This doesn’t leave me with much hope for this program if this stumps them.
Why has he been able to leak any of this? Why Grusch? Why Luis? Mellon? Lazar?
They stopped Bennewitz, but only in 2003, 23 years after he got involved with the story they wanted him to tell. Why did it take so long to push him completely over the edge? They admitted it in ‘89 that he (Bennewitz) was subjected to psychological manipulation with intent to push toward a mental breakdown.
Like JC says, there’s a story they want you to believe. One way or the other, they’ll get it told, but it’s their story.
When documents are collected and some are known to contain sensitive information, often the whole batch is classified. This is what happened to the Adam and Eve book that some people say was classified because of dangerous truths or something.
The amount of data and documents that our government has is nearly incomprehensible to someone who’s never seen any kind of archives. It would be logistically impossible to go through every single piece of paper and video and picture to decide what is worth classifying and what is not. That is why there are rules about declassification, and why you can attempt to FOIA classified documents. A lot of times staffers will go through them and decide that the particular information someone is seeking is not something that needs to be classified and that’s how it becomes declassified.
So corbell having access to this doesn’t mean he broke any laws or anything. Or that anyone broke any laws. These records are basically just a dump of certain archival folders, boxes, small collections. When something becomes declassified it isn’t taken out of the archival place that it’s at. So it’s not removed from the file where it was classified, or the box, or wherever. You just don’t change where something is filed.
