The third ESA Earth Observation Commercialisation Forum (ESA CommEO) will bring together the global Earth observation ecosystem for three days of insights, innovation and high-level networking. It takes place in Seville, Spain, from 12–14 May 2026, but you can join selected sessions online to hear about the latest trends arising in the Earth observation commercial market.

ESA CommEO is an event organised by ESA Φ-lab that connects start-ups, investors, institutions and decision-makers to bridge the gap between Earth observation technology and the business world.

This forum focuses on how Earth observation data can be turned into profitable products, with applications ranging from agriculture, biodiversity and carbon sequestering to defence, energy and insurance.

The goal is to help start-ups and entrepreneurs get the funding and mentorship they need to scale up, ensuring that the European Earth observation technology and data do not just stay ‘in the lab’, but help solve problems on the ground.

Watch the third ESA CommEO live on ESA Web TV.
