Playing on Tom Doll Field Monday, the Greenville High School girls soccer team slipped past Southwestern Piasa 1-0.

Emma Veith scored the only goal of the game in the second half.  Bailey Taylor was credited with an assist.  Veith took a total of 10 shots.

Maddie Beckert earned the shutout in goal, making 10 saves.

The win was the 12th in 21 contests for the Lady Comets.

They recently lost two games by scores of 2-1.

Carlinville edged the GHS girls.  Keeleigh Valleroy scored the goal and Taylor had the assist.

Wesclin slipped past the Lady Comets as Veith had the goal and Selah Field delivered the assist.

The Greenville soccer  girls host Salem Wednesday, play at Maryville Christian Friday and are in a tournament at Litchfield on Saturday.  Their final regular season game is May 15 at Breese Central.
