Since 2022, at least 12 people in the U.S. connected to UFO research have reportedly vanished or have been found dead. U.S. Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo. 7th District, is demanding answers.

“It is disturbing the amount of people that we’ve lost. These are some of the most talented and intelligent people in the United States,” Burlison told Missourinet. “Not all of them are scientists. I think that’s a misnomer. Some of them are just, you know, people like administrative assistants or facilities maintenance person.”

Burlison says the missing includes Major Gen. William McCasland, who retired recently from the U.S. Air Force.

“He was the commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, oversaw the Los Alamos labs in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as well as other labs,” he said. “So he was working on some of the most advanced research programs, top secret projects that one can imagine.”

Burlison calls the scientific community a “vulnerable target.” He also said the mysterious pattern of disappearances and deaths don’t add up and he worries foreign adversaries could be at play.

“This would not be the first time in history that that’s happened,” he said. “Recently, you had Mossad in Israel take out a lot of the nuclear scientists in Iran. You have China that we know has an operation. They have agents working in the United States to try to repatriate Chinese scientists.”

Burlison sits on the U.S. House Oversight Committee, which is requesting any information that NASA, the Energy and War departments, and the FBI may have on the missing personnel.
