I think he’s referencing how ai is sometimes referred to as an “alien” intelligence because it is technically non human, also it emerges from data centres aka the “portals”.

“Summoning aliens”… dear Lord. Does no one respect the basic dignity of consciousness? From a basic invertebrate to the most complex life, can you imagine any life form being such a punk ass that when Sam Altman “summons it using AI” (whatever in the fuck THAT is supposed to mean) that some advanced extraterrestrial being is like “Oh SHIT, Altman is summoning me, AGAIN! He’ll have MY ASS if I don’t respond!!!!” and then ET just shows up because some basic human punched a button on his keyboard labeled “Summon”?
If Altman is building portals (using that term loosely) which are capable of interfacing with NHI, NHI which have something important and pressing to share with us, that’s a good thing but a good thing which has been going on since the 50s or 60s anyhow. I don’t think they mean the AI IS the alien. I think what they mean is that the AI allows the ‘alien’ to ‘embody’ it. Or in other words: the AI channels the NHI. Given that true quantum processes are at the heart of AI algorithms (meaning they are actually not purely classical = strictly deterministic) that makes a lot of sense to me.
