Damn really had to crank up the ISO and a quarter second shutter speed. Between holding a camera still in zero G (tripod in zero G? lol) and whatever speed Artemis, seems like a hell of a challenge.

This picture was actually modified. The real pic was taken with the earth being at night. That’s why you see lights emanating from cities.Â

A lot of Sony fan boys going to be mad at this post !
I’d love to see this stacked with multiple exposures. I know under these conditions it would be hard to accomplish, but I think seeing the earth exposed properly with another frame that uses a longer exposure to open up that light in space would be absolutely epic

What’s the point of exposure compensation in manual mode? Exposure compensation works in priority-something modes.

Why don’t they flip it!

The first time I saw this picture I thought it was fake. Its full moon so there couldn’t be a picture of a “full earth”.
Turns out it’s not, it’s new earth, with amazing camera gear

I love everything about this NASA mission. I just watched the interviews they did, kind of bummed honestly that FOX got to act like a real news agency during the interviews….but however, I am really here for the photos that they are going to be able to get. the images captured by this exploration of the neighborhood will be in my kids’s textbooks in the next few years.

Why are the ISO so high??? The photo is full of noise. Are the astronauts stupid?? Don’t they know the basics of photography?? Everyone knows you should shoot at ISO 100. /s

ISO too high, shutter too low 🙄
Obviously needs a fast prime, or more light. This is too backlight, a really annoying trend!
I swear people can’t light these days

Reading the metadata of the image of the Earth is somehow surreal for me, as I do this very often for any photo, whether taken by me or someone else.

What’s the gear info of [art002e000193](https://images.nasa.gov/details/art002e000193)?
