Hey everyone!

Sharing my latest Orion Region mosaic, capturing a strong, detailed Orion Nebula (M42) along with the Horsehead Nebula (IC434) and surrounding H-alpha goodness.

This is a 4-panel mosaic combining RGB and Ha/OIII to bring out both the natural color field and the emission structures across the region.

Acquisition

• Mosaic: 4 panels

• RGB: 50×180s per panel

• Ha/OIII: 50×300s per panel

• Calibration: 30 darks / 30 flats / 30 bias / 30 dark flats

Gear

• Camera: ZWO ASI 2600MC Pro

• Scope: Askar FRA400 @ f/5.6

• Mount: ZWO AM3

• Guiding: guided (400mm guide scope)

• RGB: Optolong L-Pro

• Ha/OIII: RGB L-eXtreme (for Ha + OIII)

Processing

• Astro Pixel Processor for calibration + mosaic assembly

• StarNet++ for star separation

• Photoshop for color combining, fine tuning, and finishing touches
