The truth is out there, and FBI director Kash Patel recently confirmed that the American government will be releasing files related to UFOs “very soon.”
During a Tuesday, May 5, appearance on Sean Hannity‘s podcast, Hang Out with Sean Hannity, Patel, 46, was asked if he had ever “looked into” the possibility of “life on other planets.”
“We’re looking at it,” Patel replied. “[President Donald Trump] stood up an interagency process with the Department of War leading that effort to get out the documentation.”
He added that the FBI had “already delivered” the “first tranche of information” regarding UFOs.
“They’re going to be publicly releasing this information very soon,” Patel continued. “We are all for it. There’s nothing in this subject that we’re talking about that we don’t want released.”

In February, Trump, 79, first announced that his administration would be releasing files related to UFOs and potential alien life forms.
“Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters,” the former reality star wrote via Truth Social and shared on X.
However, Sean Kirkpatrick, the former leader of the Department of Defense’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, recently attempted to temper the public’s expectations of what information might be included in the files.
“Readers should not get their hopes up that there’s going to be some document with photos, interviewing the aliens when they came down,” Kirkpatrick said, per PBS. “Because that just doesn’t exist.
