Messier 24. A majestic window into our inner galaxy, unobscured by the dust clouds to reveal a sea of stars staring back at you. This is undoubtedly my favorite Messier entry. In the top right corner, you see Barnard 92 and 93, massive dark nebulas blocking the starlight in their way. You may also be able to spot NGC 6603, an open star cluster to the left of the image 🙂

Telecope: Seestar S50
Integration time: 3 hours
Tools used: Siril, GraXpert, GIMP

This was a 2-panel mosaic project. The star spikes were obtained with a custom diffraction mask!
