On May 9th 2016 The Planet Mercury transited the Sun. I caught this image just after the sun rose over Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I used a Canon 50D DSLR camera with a 75-300mm basic telephoto lens and fast shutter speed and layers of uv filters to capture this image.
