Hello all,

this is my first post in this sub and I am pretty new into the hobby so I'd like to hear what you have to say about my most recent shot of M31.

I took 150 subs of 90s (so 3h 45m total) in two evenings here in southern germany and calibrated them using a total of 20 darks, 20 flats and 20 darkflats.

Equipment:

Startracker: Fornax Lightrack II

Camera: Canon EOS RP DSLM (unmodified)

Scope: Canon RF 100-500 mm L f4.5-7.1 on 500 mm, slightly stopped down to f/8

Astrocomputer: Melee Quieter 3c running KStars/EKOS on Linux

Postprocessing:

1. Pixinsight:

WBPP, DBE, SPCC, Starnet V2, MMT, Deconvolution, Stretching, Star Reduction (using Bill Blanshans Scripts), Colors (Saturation, Contrast, Grading)

2. Photoshop:

CA Suppression, Final color adjustments, Final Crop

I am quite happy with the result and I think the ultrazoom performs pretty good for deep sky.
