Looking at the compass in the video of in Donetsk they are looking right into the Sea of Azov (See image).
We see here a day and a bit ago we have a ship ablaze in the sea of Azov. That could account for the heat signature.

Submission Statement: Why are we thinking this is alien?
It’s far more likely some sort of ship in the Sea. Is there any good reason we should be thinking this is alien instead of a terrestrial illusion?
The boat theory was among the first responses to the original post on this subreddit. I don’t think it has been discounted. Has the location of the video been confirmed? I wouldn’t expect a ton of Ukrainian drones to be operating in Donetsk, but there is plenty of coastline near Kherson and further west, but again, without knowing where the video was taken it’s hard to say exactly.
Fire the drone operators that live by the sea and can’t identify a boat.
Most reasonably minded people already accept it’s just a boat. Those who don’t are hanging on to 18 seconds of footage and lying to themselves.
