This image took me on quite an adventure.

To capture it, I traveled over 600 kilometers south to the state of Hessen in Germany.

At this time of year, northern Germany experiences bright summer nights, making deep-sky photography extremely challenging. Instead of waiting for darker skies to return, I decided to chase my luck in a different part of the country.
Despite the high level of light pollution, I was still able to capture the beauty of the night sky the Milky Way stretching across the horizon together with the subtle glow of Earth’s atmosphere.
