I feel like they represent or are different versions of human soul evolution or lack of soul evolution.

This is only true if you believe aliens and UFO’s are hallucinations. Hallucinations that our government and private aerospace has spent billions studying and even interacting with.

what if aliens are just different flavors that we just never really learned to taste, something beyond sweet/salty/bitter/umami? Makes you think

what if aliens are sentient sperm from dark matter space whales larger than our solar system? Makes you think

what if aliens are just a breakaway civilization of performers that have focused on mastering the clown arts? The decline of the hobo clown archetype and clowns in general is an inverse to the rise of UFO sightings. Makes you think

I think this may be accidentally correct due to evolutionary neurobiology. Maybe.

It’s a nice idea but it feels more like projecting shallow attributes more than anything. In the same way you could associate greys with logic, mission, focus; reptilians with wisdon, leadership, courage. It also makes the implication that they would lack states beyond what is described about them.
It’s more anthropomorphising than describing. A bit like saying dogs are smiling and happy when showing their teeth.
