Bray Falls [@AstroFalls](https://www.instagram.com/astrofalls/) has enabled deep sky star gazing for literally, hundreds of people around the globe using their OWN telescopes who would never be able to do this, much less do it daily now.

Guy is a true Unsung hero.

  2. absolutely amazing business idea.

Now offer lower cost options if you’ll share the photos/data in an open data base for users.

Is there “social media” for this thing specially? Photos popup on here but it would be cool to see a more unfiltered feed of what people are doing with their telescopes.

Geeking1000? Like the massive musician project Roking1000 where they get 1000 people in a stadium rocking out?

Fuck me, I’m not even into astronomy/stargazing whatever you would call it.

But god damn, what an absolutely genius idea.

Like, you live in an area with to much light pollution? Send your telescope to me. I’ll hook it up remotely so you can actually use it effectively.

I’ve had a rig at SFRO for almost a year now.
My biggest problem with having a scope out there is wanting to put more scopes out there.

My first thought is a concern for the security. thats a lot of extremely expensive and portable gear.

  8. I like the idea, very cool, but not for everyone. Part of why I love astronomy is driving out to somewhere with dark night skies, setting up the scope, experiencing the actual photons that traveled hundreds of light years hit your eye. But again, such a great idea to actually put those scopes to good use.
