Could the modern UFO phenomenon be a new mask for something much older?

I've been trying to understand what's going on with UFOs for a long time. And one way I learn about topics in general is through investigating/ building documentaries and video essays.

This video covers the sightings in Nuremberg Germany 1561, Basel Switzerland 1566, Fatima Portugal 1917. Some of the older religious symbols that have permeated through centuries, as well as more modern accounts like the Nimitz Tic Tac 2004 incident and orbs over Los Alamos.

I try to give a balanced view of the phenomenon, looking at the skeptic's view as well as various believers ' views. I'm not sure I'll be drawing any new conclusions for people already well-versed on the subject, but I'm hoping this project will be useful to people completely out of the blue, wanting to know what this subject is all about.

It takes the modern world into account, the on-going conflict in the Middle East as well as emerging stories of missing/ dead scientists. It all paints a rather unsettling picture, hence the title of the video 'UFOs and the Crisis of Reality', it all feels weirdly interlinked.

Core inspirations are Diana Pasulka's – American Cosmic and Carl Jung's – Flying Saucers. I've cast the net fairly wide in this one: religion, extraterrestrial, interdimensional, secret military tech, psychological anomalies, and even the possibility of psy-ops.

My conclusion is that we might be missing the point when we try to boil it down to just one thing, and that the phenomenon is potentially far stranger than we can comprehend.
