The history books talk of a romanisation of the Gaul after the Alesia battle.
And they go further saying that then the franks invaded it.
One thing they say is that Paris come from the franks.
But i have an alternative history : King Arthur renamed it.
Why ? Because Arthur’s father, Uther Pendragon was descendant of the Troyans by Brutus.
And more of it he was raised by sir Hector.
And because old maps from 1600 call France Celtic Gaul and this very one shows a region from west Brittany to Lyon passing by Pari near lutecia.
Ferdinand Lot says that franks mixed with Gallo-Romans peacefully.

King Arthur did not exist he is a fairy tale invented substantially later. The battle of troy was 1300 years removed from the romanisation of France.
