After garnering critical acclaim and breaking streaming records, it was little surprise when FX and Hulu renewed Alien: Earth for a second season in November 2025.

Although, since then, we’ve heard precious little about what Season Two of Alien: Earth will have in store.

Now, we have the exciting news of the first official casting announcement, as production is set to begin.

It has been confirmed that Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage has joined the cast of Alien: Earth for its second season.

Although no character or plot details have been announced, we can confirm that Dinklage will appear in a recurring capacity.

His inclusion in the sci-fi TV hit marks the latest in a plethora of genre roles for Dinklage, who recently portrayed the title role in the remake of Troma’s The Toxic Avenger.

Alongside Dinklage, primary cast member such as Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, and Samuel Blenkin are expected to reprise their roles.

Filming for the second season of Alien: Earth is expected to begin in May at London’s Pinewood Studios. This marks a considerable step up from Season One, which was shot in Thailand on a limited budget.

So, things are finally moving, and more Alien: Earth is on the horizon. Good, we say! Because fans are desperate for more after that shocking Season One cliffhanger.

Stay tuned for more Alien updates as we have them.
