  6. I actually think a more interesting question is to ask why they moved these huge carved stones. How did it benefit societies and their rulers? What motivated massive structure creations? What inspired them to build on such a massive scale? Throughout history, rulers work in self-serving ways, so what purpose did this serve? I assume these works only occurred when societies had the financial means to see them through, but were they prioritized over other essential expenses and resource needs?
