First Milky Way capture of the season.

The conditions were extremely foggy, but I still managed to pull this shot out of it.

    Shot on Nikon Z6 + NIKKOR Z 20mm f/1.8 S

    Sky:
    71 × 13s = 923s total (about 15 min)
    ISO 4000
    f/2.0

    Foreground:
    4 × 20s
    ISO 160
    f/4.0

A rough start to the season, but glad to finally get under the stars again.

omg this is incredible!! wow, the mist makes it look so ethereal. definitely adding this to my inspo board for when i eventually get my camera set up for this 🤩 stellar shot!

  3. If you’re going to light paint don’t go so heavy with it. Drag the light from left to right (or vise versa) just once. Under ten seconds of light exposure for the whole move. That will give the foreground enough light to work with in post without over exposing the shot. Light painting is like salt. You don’t need too much to be effective.
