NASA has confirmed that a small asteroid, named 2025 PN7, is acting as a "quasi-moon" or "mini-moon" companion to Earth. It'll stay until 2083.

  4. Its orbit brings it closer to earth than our main moon. At other points in its orbit, it’s almost 1000x farther away.

    MOM CAN WE KEEP IT? I PROMISE ILL TAKE CARE OF IT. I CAN NUDGE IT INTO PERMANENT ORBIT WITH A DART. IT DOESN’T EVEN NEED FOOD.
