Integrated Flux Nebulae (IFN) are faint clouds of interstellar dust found at high galactic latitudes. Unlike most nebulae in the plane of the Milky Way, which are illuminated by nearby stars, IFN glow from the combined light of all the stars in our galaxy. This makes them incredibly dim and very challenging to capture, often requiring many hours of exposure. Composed mainly of dust, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and other elements, they are especially visible near the north and south celestial poles.
