Could we not have just airlifted the capsule up onto the aircraft carrier? Or all the way back to San Diego? Or have a net on the ship that could hoist it out of the water on deck? All that water stuff took a long time and seemed really inefficient. Congrats to the crew and everyone though!

1972 seems a little bit crispy, but 2026 surface look perforated/damaged is that scrapped heat shield or what?
