  1. I thought the backside was the Death Star for a second there xd because of the lines.

  2. Something terrifying about the way it fades to black when we see the dark side

  3. How long til a flat earther posts this thinking it’s supposed to be real and calls it fake?

Why would man endeavor to reach a cold, distant grey world with no life, only to hurdle back to the safe womb of Gaia? Was it for fame, hubris, glory, or the simple yearning for knowledge?

If we already know what they’re going to see, why are they going there? /s

    IMPORTANT INFO HERE!!!

Orion and crew will be orbiting the far side of the moon with direct sunlight so they can photograph specific parts to get detailed looks at things never seen by human eyes *in a long time!

    SO COOL!

  7. Will they have enough resolving power on their cameras to capture the Apollo bases?

  8. And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon.

I hope they make sure to turn on their flash before taking a photo of the dark side of the moon.

  10. Presumably there is some light as they describe what they saw, the human eye would adjust to its low intensity?

  11. I think the true mission is to verify rumors of a Chinese Moon base on the dark side of the Moon.

Do we have satellites that have seen the dark side of the moon? Rumors have it, China has a base there, or perhaps it’s aliens. But if no one has ever seen the dark side of the moon, who knows.

So why can’t we have a satellite orbiting the moon taking pictures and measurements (radiation, solar energy, etc) and acting as a radio/laser relay? Does the low lunar gravity make a long term orbit impossible? If you were going to set up a base it looks like you would want that sort of long term reconnaissance.
