The question of alien invasion or alien contact has too often been framed as a Hollywood trope: Lasers, lizards, and liberty. The truth may well be that we’re each fighting our own war every day, internally, against a form of intelligence we can barely conceptualize.
Why is this downvoted? Genuine question.
If we take this argument seriously, what are the fault lines in our world today that have been shaped and directed by an outsider intelligence? And to what end?
