Oops I forgot the pic. I was out taking pics in my yard yesterday and caught this, none of the other pics look like this one. No light beams around my house.
I quite enjoyed the suspense of your first post.
What you’ve got there is some sort of lens flare, or artefact of light reflection. This is not in the sky, it’s only in your camera, I’m afraid.
It was interesting hearing you say laser beam. Can you imagine the power needed to produce something like that?
