    This is Sigiriya, often called the 8th Wonder of the World. Mainstream history says King Kasyapa built this as a fortress in 477 AD, but the engineering is mind-blowing for that time period.

    * **The Hydraulics:** An intricate underground water system pushes water to the summit using pressure. The fountains still work today during the rainy season.
    * **The Mirror Wall:** A wall so polished that the King could see his reflection in it.
    * **The Megalithic Aspect:** The precision of the granite cutting rivals structures found in Peru and Egypt.
