Well, we do have one massive one at the very center of our galaxy so, there’s that.
I am not an expert. I have read and watched numerous materials about this theory. My understanding is that the hypothesis is not testable. Based on our current theories of the universe and black holes, there is no way to determine whether we are in a black hole of another universe or if we are the first universe. Both cosmological models would look the same from our point of view. So, you can’t really falsify the ‘we live in a black hole’ theory because if we did, it would look the same as our inflation-based model.
