These are single 20-second exposures stacked on DSS for a maximum of 2 hours and 50 minutes at a Bortle 6 location. I used the Canon 75-300 kit lens stopped down one stop to 6.3 f/1.5, I believe it was at 150mm focal length. As I say in the title, it's one of my first astrophotography sessions. I used a Skywatcher Star Adventurer 2i, and as a camera, the unmodified Canon 7D. I also used a UHC filter from svbony. However, filter or no filter, the photo was grainy, especially in the Horsehead Nebula, which appears all grainy. Why? Even the sky background, if you zoom in, has the same effect. What can I do? What can you recommend? If I'm not mistaken, it's my second session. I used Photoshop, DSS, and starnet+++.

Hi – that’s a fairly old camera, it could be noisier than newer models.
You didn’t mention if you took darks or not, if you didn’t you could take them and reprocess in DSS to see if that helps your image quality.
