Facing due South, you can see a glowing object changing colors. It appears to have an aura/halo effect to my eye which could be due to it being in some clouds. It moved 3-5x its diameter left and right multiple times over the course of a second or so during my observation over five or so minutes.

Check it out if you’re in the Nashville metro.

  1. It -could- be a drone. I observed it while letting the dogs out. It was peculiar looking just due to how bright it was and then when I saw it first dart to the side it weirded me out because the only type of object I’ve seen like that was a drone and it was quiet.

  2. Probably the star Sirius. https://i.imgur.com/XUAybfj.png

The brightest star in the night sky.

    This is due to [scintillation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twinkling)

    > … a generic term for **variations in apparent brightness, colour, or position** of a distant luminous object viewed through a medium

Basically light passing through turbulent air in our atmosphere. That’s why we put telescopes on top of mountains, to limit the amount of atmosphere they look through.. or in space to eliminate it.
