I find it fascinating how there seems to be a web that connects the various galaxies throughout the universe.

That thing in the middle looks like the villain eye from ‘The Lord of the Rings’. I’m scared ._.

What type of fractal is creating the pattern/form? I’m minimally knowledgeable in this matter.

Is it just me, or are people starting to stretch the meaning of the word “structure”? What criteria are they using to define this as distinct from its surroundings? The whole universe could be considered a structure if you zoom out far enough. Am I dumb?

just to clarify, this is a random image. Like this isn’t a reconstruction or anything of what it would look like. Notice the Cartwheel galaxy on the middle left or V838 Monoceros on the middle top, and other recognizable cosmic structures just randomly put together here

  6. Looks like someone projected those galaxies with UMAP into our universe from a higher dimensional space.

    Wait a minute…

  7. Billion light years across . It is very wide indeed. But the universe is only13.79 billion year old and presently the cosmos is expanding 73km per seconds.
My little brain doesn’t compute, am I missing something..?

  8. This pic is obviously not real. It’s even tagged as such. OP, it would be great if you provided more info or a source.

So, recursive? Nice. And everything linked ie information can travel faster than the speed of light? Nice
