The Orion Nebula (M42) is one of the brightest nebulae visible without a telescope, appearing as a faint fuzzy “star” in Orion’s Sword below the Belt. It is one of the nearest massive star-forming regions to Earth and among the most studied and photographed objects in astronomy.
