  2. You see the Enterprise, the only Shuttle that never flew.
    This photo is a 1985 fit‑check and integration test at Space Launch Complex‑6 (SLC‑6) Vandenburg. After the *Challenger* accident in January 1986, all plans to launch shuttles from there were canceled.

  3. Sadly I can see this being needed at some point, because of religious extremists or just terrorism in general. There’s a lot of crazy people who if they had their way would send us all back to the caves.

  4. Spent two years at Vandyland. Atlas launches were wild, so loud that you felt it in your bones.
