Location: due south of Cooksville, Illinois on RT9. I was driving east.
I work in Normal Illinois and I live in Paxton Illinois. I have to take RT9 to work. It is over 50 miles of farm land and so viewing the night sky is very easy due to very little light pollution. I’ve seen these lights 4 nights in a row. There is a local airport near where the video was taken but they operate from 4am to 12am. I didn’t video the whole drive but I saw the lights on and off as I was leaving Bloomington/Normal until I reached Paxton. A couple of times I tried to see if I could “catch” them but to no avail. I know I’m not the only one to see them as there were a couple cars out that kept slowing down after I had videoed. I’m definitely a believer, but I also like to keep an open mind. But if I’m being totally honest, I think I finally videoed UFO’s over central Illinois.

I don’t think this is satellites or the space station either. I was an astronomy major in college until I dropped out and joined the work force. I’ve seen satellites and how they move. These would appear in that same area every night. I start my shifts again tomorrow night, if it’s a clear night, I will have my camera ready.

So no navigation lights. They light up and then disappear. Yeah that’s a strange one.
