Fireball that went up quickly, then seemed to beam out and start to fall – not a beam of light, an actual ball of fire with a tail (pics are of the end result and falling)

Visiting Palm Beach, Florida right now – it’s 10:51PM here and we’re at a resort about a block from the ocean (we can hear it, but can’t see it), and I happened to look up and saw what looked like a massive fireball going straight up, then it started falling. I was staring at it and got my phone out in time only to get what is the falling portion. This wasn’t just light … it was orange fire, going straight up with a ball of orange fire at the base, and then descending with no more orange, but an orb around it. This was at approx 10:45PM.

I feel stupid for asking, but I’ve scoured google and there’s no meteor shower or anything so wtf did I just see??

    That’s gonna be either a SpaceX booster coming back, or a SpaceX falcon or New Glenn going up… Could possibly of been the New Glenn booster coming back as well.

    Where you able to make out the body of the rocket as it ascended? PBI isn’t too far from the Cape. Must have been fun to watch it happen.
