There are so many threads of this story in so many subs. Can we collect what we believe to be true here in one place? Just comment the legitimate sources for the sections below and we can keep this updated and maybe help better understand what happened, determine it's authenticity or perhaps even more.

Note: We are not attempting to dox James. We are looking to centralize crowd-sourced information via OSINT so we can help. (Mods, let me know if this is forbidden)

Name: James Harlan (how do we know his last name? – need source. Could it be misspelled?)

Location: New Mexico (source?), Wisconsin (source?) I did find a potential address for him in a suburban city, which is just about 3hrs from Green Bay (hotel). Also, most homes in New Mexico don't have basements. Wisconsin does. [UPDATE] – now hearing either MEDFORD or GREEN BAY, Wisconsin based on video analysis

Age: 20s? (I have some OSINT that suggests he is 26, lives with his mom)

Work: Construction or something where he needed to travel for days at a time? (source?) He also had a Milwaukee drill, which is one of the higher-end brands used more by professionals

Trip: He was in the Vegas area camping? When? How long? Can we geolocate the location he was at and someone local can visit it? las Vegas and Madison, Wi is about 25hrs or 1700 miles away. New Mexico could be possible, but I don't see them

Social media: Youtube channel: (https://www.youtube.com/@James-d6l9n). Anything else?

Questions:

  1. Has anyone mapped his trip, trip home and created any sort of timeline to see if everything matches up?
  2. How many other videos has he posted that have been deleted? Do we have them available/archived?
  3. Have we heard back from any geoguesser as to some of the locations?

    He lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Various items from his videos show Green Bay businesses.

    Is his real name James? He never shows his face at all. However, some have posted a reflection off of the metal object. Does he have friends? There were claims that he did, why not get in touch with them? Could voice recognition software match his voice with other social accounts? It seems folks have done a good job with locations, etc. The lack of identity and no effort to warn any loved ones about this event are what make it suspicious imo.

    Also, his mental health seems to be exhausted. The update videos, etc. shine a light on someone who seems lonely. I want this to be a hoax like everyone else, however, it is all very dark.

    Your first problem was starting your research based on a fake post and name in the wrong area of the country. Actual points of evidence show definitely not Nevada.
