I recorded this clip off a live cam that goes 24/7 on YouTube in a rural area. No airport in the direction of the lights. They have a weird trail behind them in the live and appear randomly mid air then disappear shortly after. I was watching them live for around an hour. Continued to watch them again today although there was WAY less than last time I tuned in. They disappear behind clouds. Not planes as we saw planes and they looked way different in the live. Any explanation? Thanks!

Could be planes or satellites. Need info to look it up though.

Looks like video compression artifacts from doorbell cameras using heavy compression.

Just one possibility: Satellites, maybe Starlinks. The tails could be video artifacts. They’re ever-present at this point, thanks to the big constellations that have gone up in recent years.
