This composite image of the Crab Nebula shows the remnant of a supernova explosion first observed in 1054 AD. It combines far-infrared data from the Herschel Space Observatory and visible-light imagery from the Hubble Space Telescope, highlighting emissions from dust and ionized gases. Notably, astronomers detected argon hydride here-the first noble-gas-based molecule found in space. Source ESA/NASA
