Last night, I witnessed something extraordinary in the sky. It appeared to be a solid, triangular-shaped object with three steady lights—one at each corner—clearly defining its form. The craft hovered completely motionless for about two minutes, silent and still against the night sky. There were no flashing lights, trails, or visible movement—just a perfect triangle suspended in place.

At one point, a plane passed nearby, moving normally with its blinking navigation lights. The contrast made it clear that the triangular object wasn’t drifting or flying—it was sitting perfectly still. That realization gave me chills, because even helicopters or drones show some kind of movement or flicker, but this did not.

After a while, I turned back to continue working on my vehicle. Moments later, I heard a loud, deep fan-like noise—steady and mechanical, but not the sharp roar of a jet engine. When I looked back, the object was slowly moving away, gliding smoothly across the sky at a calm, deliberate pace until it disappeared into the distance.

I live roughly ten miles from Langley Air Force Base, so I wondered if it could have been a military or experimental craft. Still, its stillness and strange sound left me genuinely fascinated and puzzled.

Several minutes later I did hear military helicopters, but thats not uncommon here, but is somewhat uncommon this late, but it does happen.

If you don’t know what it is how do you know it’s not alien? I think “unidentified” means you can’t rule anything out because you don’t know what it is.
