Anyone else getting more and more impatient with the lack of 3I/ATLAS photos from NASA?
HiRISE captured the best images anyone on Earth could have gotten… and then NASA went completely silent. Which did nothing to calm people down lol.
And for nearly a month, no responses to astronomers asking for the data.
so the highest-resolution images of an interstellar object just sat there. For weeks.
While the object was already vanishing back into deep space. Even Avi Loeb said he asked for the data and heard nothing back.
I’m not claiming aliens, but this is the third interstellar object we’ve ever seen, the first one Mars could actually photograph from the side, and the only one NASA has delayed this long.
Feels like there’s more to this shutdown + silence + weird object combo than we’re being told.

NO, It is a space rock not aliens . it will pass through our solar system and be gone .
No. I’m not losing my mind over a normal space rock. There’s already multiple nations looking into this. NASA isn’t the only drink of water in this desert.
I would love to see a clear photo of 3 I /Atlas! I am suspicious that no countries have put out a close photo of it. Especially with all the ridiculous AI photos circulating! You’d think they’d want a factual photo put out!
You mean the agency that’s shut down because it’s part of the government that is shut down?
No. Because there’s fucking no one there to process and release the pictures because it’s illegal for anyone other than essential workers to work. And processing pictures of a rock is shockingly not considered essential.
And the “officials” who are out there claiming that NASA could release these are knowingly playing into the conspiracy – but it gets them attention which is what they want, not the truth.
Avi knows EXACTLY why he hasn’t heard back. It’s the same reason all of us who want data from the government haven’t heard back. There’s no one working at the government to process and send us the fucking data. Avi knows this. Avi also knows that most people can’t/won’t fact check him and in spaces like this, those of us who can call him out on his shit are just downvoted. (Not necessarily this sub in particular but any of the UAP related ones.)
ETA: the shutdown has nothing to do with atlas lol. Not everything is about hiding something major. We’re shut down for the same reason we were the last time the government had this specific composition of parties running things.

No. If they don’t release photos, they’re hiding something. If they do release photos, they’re doctored or intentionally out of focus because they’re hiding something.
The US government is shut down, so posting anything online will be seen as an overreach. If they don’t post anything online, they’re clearly hiding something.
There is no response NASA could give that wouldn’t be spun by someone to fit the story we’ve cumulatively made up in our heads.

Not really.. it’s not that interesting to the public and right now they are fighting to keep themselves alive.. and AVI Loeb has made a mockery of it all so we’ve got that to deal with.
Trust that hundreds if not thousands of people with the correct gear are watching it and taking tons of good photos. We probably will never see them unless this thing stops and changes direction or something though.
I think it’s just an asteroid from another solar system and it’s different than what we’re used to seeing. Keep in mind, it’s only really since Hubble we’ve been able to see any of this stuff.. we’re still infants in cosmology.
If some countries like China, US, India, France, knew tha an artificial object coming from Deep Space was cruising our solar system, probing this region of the Universe in search for resources or potential adversaries – what do you all think these Governments would say???
