The Ark One crew is ready for their biggest mission yet.

So they say in the June 18 trailer (watch below) for season three of The Ark, more than a year after fans last caught up with the band of survivors and their interstellar trek for a new home.

Their latest cosmic adventure, per the SYFY original’s official synopsis, finds them “faced with new challenges and visitors as the Ark’s crew splits up, with some continuing their journey through space and others continuing to build on Homebase 1.”

With battles aplenty seen on the ground and while orbiting planet Trappist-1b, the first-look made clear that finding another home was maybe the easy part.

This comes after the 2024 season two finale, titled “Fortunate,” when the Ark One crew heard a distress call from a distant planet Ross-128 while still celebrating the discovery of their new human-friendly planet—where they also found evidence of a previous civilization.

All in all, there’s cliffhangers to address and an array of missions to follow as the series debuts its third season.

As Captain Sharon Garnet (Christie Burke) is heard saying in the new trailer, “Ark One’s mission is to save people at risk and bring them to home base.”

The Ark was renewed for season three in 2025. “We’re thrilled to launch another season of The Ark!” series co-showrunner Dean Devlin shared in a statement at the time. “Back in space again and the best is yet to come!”

Along with Burke, the cast includes Reece Ritchie, Richard Fleeshman, Pavle Jerinic, Stacey Read, Ryan Adams and Tiana Upcheva. The ensemble is rounded out with Shalini Peiris, Samantha Glassner and Diana Bermudez.

Season three of The Ark premieres July 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The first two seasons of The Ark are available now to watch on Fandango at Home.

(SYFY Wire and Fandango are both part of the Versant Media family.)
