In this special edition of Daily Q&A, NewsChannel 7’s Evan Bendall sits down with retired NASA astronaut Winston E. Scott.
Captain Scott has logged a total of 24 days, 14 hours and 34 minutes in space, including 3 spacewalks totaling 19 hours and 26 minutes.
Scott graduated from Florida State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts in music. In 1980, he graduated from the U.S. Navy Postgraduate School with a Master of Science in Astronautical Engineering.
Captain Scott was selected by NASA in 1992 and flew on two space mission; STS-72 in 1996 and STS-87 in 1997.
