The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball Team traveled to Alleman on Thursday to face off versus North Polk, dropping their ninth game 9-2.

The Comets scored early with four runs in the bottom of the second inning, followed by two in the third, then one run in each the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to race off to a 9-0 lead. The Tigers did garner two runs in the top of the seventh inning, courtesy of junior Cole Waddingham and senior Cael Stanford, but would ultimately fall 9-2.

ADM junior Ben Plaisance was the losing pitcher, going 4.2 innings, allowing 12 hits, eight runs, and struck out seven batters. The Comets climb to 7-6 on the year (2-3 inside the Raccoon River Conference), as the Tigers fall to 6-9 overall (1-3 RRC).

North Polk is going to Waverly today for a doubleheader against Waverly-Shell Rock, and ADM will make up their game in Winterset this afternoon, starting at 5pm.
