Cosmic Conversations, a brand new planetarium talk series at the Fernbank Science Center, is shaking up the way we learn about the stars… in 10K resolution! Keep scrolling to learn all about this stunning new experience, and how you can check it out for yourself!
What is Cosmic Conversations?
Cosmic Conversations
Cosmic Conversations is a planetarium talk series where guest scientists (GSU faculty member or senior PhD student) uses Fernbank’s 10k resolution dome to explain and share tons of different topics about the Universe in an engaging, accessible way.
AND each show includes a planetarium feature before the talk!
Fernbank notes, “Designed for curious minds of all ages, these talks require no prior astronomy experience – just a sense of wonder.”
You can lie in the Fernbank Planetarium and enjoy learning all kinds of secrets of the universe! Talk about a perfect hang with friends, family outing, or date night!

When: Hosted multiple times with different speakers / topics
Cost: $5 for students | $10 for adults
The next upcoming Cosmic Conversations event will be on Thursday, June 4th from 7pm – 9pm, and will cover the topic: Supermassive Black Holes with Astrophysics Lecturer Misty Benz.
